Browser Game Not Loading?

Start with the symptom. Change one thing at a time, and compare the game with its original site.

Game Stuck on Loading

  1. Look at the game’s own progress. Large maps can take longer on a first visit. If the resource count or download progress is changing, give it time.
  2. Open the original project. If it fails there too, the problem is not limited to this page. Check Surfd, BO1 Zombies, or QuakeWorld.
  3. Try one reload. Repeated reloads can restart downloads. Avoid clearing site data first, as this can remove saved preferences or progress.
  4. Check the connection. A network that filters games or large downloads may prevent resources from loading. Use a connection where playing is permitted.

Black Screen or WebGL Error

A browser game black screen can come from graphics support, a failed resource, or the game itself. Update the browser, restart it, and check that graphics acceleration is available in its settings. If your device or organization disables it, follow that policy rather than disabling protections.

Close other graphics-heavy tabs and try the original game in a separate window. If WebGL still fails across projects, investigate browser or graphics-driver support. If only one game fails, include its exact error in your report.

Mouse or Keyboard Not Working

Click directly inside the game before pressing movement keys. A page button, address bar, or settings field may have focus instead. Mouse look usually needs a deliberate click before the game can capture your pointer.

Press Esc to release the mouse. Click the game again to resume. Check the game’s bindings if movement works but one action does not. On mobile, missing touch controls may simply mean the game expects a keyboard and mouse.

No Sound or Fullscreen

Click to start the game, then check its audio settings, your tab’s mute state, and the device volume. Browsers may block sound that starts without an interaction. Some games also have little or no ambient audio while waiting in a menu.

Use Fullscreen after launching. If your browser does not allow it, open the original project and use its own fullscreen control. Esc exits fullscreen. Do not assume that fullscreen mode resolves a loading or performance problem.

When BO1 Loads a Menu but Not a Map

The BO1 browser project needs more than a working menu: its map resources and browser isolation requirements must also be satisfied. Open the same map directly from the BO1 Zombies browser guide. A working menu alone is not proof that gameplay will start.

Report a Broken Game

Include the game and map, browser name and version, desktop or mobile device, the visible error, and whether the original site also fails. Do not send passwords, account cookies, or private game files.

Send a game report, or return to the browser games list to try another project.
